RWTH awarded 'Celonis Process Mining Centre of Excellence' status

  PADS-Celonis   Celonis

At the Ecosystem Summit 2021, Celonis announced the first Academic Centers of Excellence, i.e.,  premier hubs within the global process mining community for educating the process miners of tomorrow.  Next to RWTH Aachen University, 14 other centers of excellence have been selected, including the London School of Economics, Arizona State University, Avans, Fontys, Nova, and the university of St. Gallen. This reflects the close collaboration between the PADS group and Celonis. Celonis was founded in 2011 as one of the first commercial process mining companies. In 10 years time, Celonis grew from a small startup to Germany’s first Decacorn valued over $10 billion. The Celonis Execution Management System (EMS) combines process mining with related capabilities such as process automation, process modeling, machine learning, simulation, and big data processing. Prof. Wil van der Aalst is Celonis’s chief scientist. The Celonis Academic Alliance https://www.celonis.com/academic-alliance/ provides free process mining software, realistic data sets, and lots of training material. Moreover, PADS offers bachelor and Master thesis projects in collaboration with Celonis.
