A Side of Data: Podcast On Process Mining

"A Side of Data" is a podcast series about unconventional data science with a social focus on process mining. The podcast is organized by Anton Yeshchenko who is conducting interviews with experts in the field. The latest podcast features an interview with prof.dr.ir. Wil van der Aalst.
The podcast starts with the origins of process mining in the late 1990-ties, when Wil started to work on process mining at Eindhoven University of Technology. After seeing the failures of workflow management of traditional process modeling, he developed the first process discovery and conformance checking algorithms. After analyzing the developments over the last 20 years, the focus shifts to the adoption of process mining and future challenges.
